My life is crazy

Hey all...
So sorry for the lack of updates lately! My life has been pure craziness for the last two weeks, and any free time that I've had has been dedicated to getting the new site off the ground. Since I"ve transferred all of my posts to the new site, I'll start posting there now (hopefully starting tonight!) even though it's not 100% ready to go. BUT.....if you go to

http://styleandsports.com

you can check it out and keep updated with Style and Sports. And if you link to me and would change your linkys, I would definitely appreciate it!!

Bring on the rain

Apparently, I am feeling a bit emo today.

At least that's how I'm dressed. Military inspired graphite colored jacket. Black tulle knee length ballet skirt. Black leggings, tucked over the feet, into the four inch stilettos.

I did throw on a pearl headband to lighten the look a bit. But I'm liking the vibe today. It unintentionally matches the weather. I've heard a lot of people complaining about the dreariness of the day - but in all actuality, I don't mind it. I'd much rather be stuck inside of an office - much as I do love Ticket King St. Paul - on a day like today than on a day that I want to spend at the pool...it's more productive, somehow.

Saturday night I stuck to my guns. No partying - instead, a movie night at home. I ended up renting the movie Twilight, as much as I refused to buy into any of the hype when the movie originally landed in theatres. And I have to admit, it was good. Exceeded my expectations so much that I read the first two books of the series yesterday (Yeah, I read pretty fast). And I'm hooked...although not as obsessed as the Robert Pattinson groupies quite yet ;)

Things...

1. Wild game, 3/17: I hope all the Wild fans out there caught the end of this game. Because Nick Schultz got to be a hero, tying the game in the last couple of minutes. And then we won in the shootout, which has a tendency to be a weak spot for us. Which makes me incredibly proud of the team, despite their not-so-stellar record this season.

2. Apparently, Marian Gaborik is going to be playing on Sunday when the Wild take on the Edmonton Oilers this coming Sunday. Blech. I hope he gets booed.

3. GOOOO GOPHERS!!!

i. WCHA: Gophers vs. Bulldogs.

ii. NCAA: Gophers vs. Longhorns.

Poor H*Dizz has both her alma maters playing in the latter.

Hopefully we'll see a Gopher hockey win tonight at the X, cause I'd like to see the hometown team play for the rest of the hometown tournament. And more maroon-and-gold than green-and-white in the streets of St. Paul. We saw enough green on Tuesday.

4. Speaking of the WCHA tournament at the Xcel Energy Center, Eagle Street is keeping the St. Patrick's Day party going by keeping their party tent hopping all.weekend.long.

I wonder how they convinced the city to let them leave that monstrosity up all week. More beer money for the city of St. Paul, I suppose. And more beer bottles for my back parking lot. Gross.

Spring?

It's absolutely beautiful outside today. Forty-five degrees and sunshiney, there's a definite hint of Spring in the air. Just take a peek at Rice Park:

See that? You might look at this picture and say, 'wow, brown grass'. But really what you should be saying is 'NO SNOW!'.

Blue skies and soon-to-be green trees...summer is just around the corner!!

And speaking of summer...I may have ordered a couple of swimsuits to keep myself workout-motivated...

Now can someone just tell me where to buy the beach-ready body to go with them?

Change of Pace

I'm switching things up a little today. Cause I know that most of those who read this love the Minnesota Twins almost as much as we all love the Minnesota Wild. And with the opening of Target Field officially on the horizon, I know we're all starting to get a little hyped up for Opening Day 2010. These pictures arrived in my email box last night from the Twins - the foul posts have arrived!

And if you really want to catch Opening Day 2009 - for the team's last season at the HHH Metrodome - you should buy Minnesota Twins tickets soon. I love being part of opening day, there's not another day during the regular season where you can see so many fans out to cheer on the hometown team! Twins tickets are selling pretty quickly for the game, though, so act fast if you're looking to go.
